VILLAGE LIFE

Welcome to the Village.

Here at Macquarie University Village, we are focused on providing you with the total university experience.  That means we make sure you have plenty of activities to keep you entertained, informed and healthy and we also provide plenty of support along the way.

Social Life

It's not all about education...
Sometimes it is about letting your hair down and just enjoying the moment. The residents host a wide variety of events from movie nights, trivia, barbeques and social events, just to name a few.

Life Support

Resident Support
Committees are designed to get you more involved in what you’re interested in, the community and to help you develop your talents!! Committees include social, art, sport and charities. Local area activities are organised through committees. They are varied and include something for everyone.

Peer Support
Is sorted out through our Resident Assistants (RAs). RAs are selected via a rigorous recruitment program, identifying people that have not only the capabilities to take on additional responsibility over and above their studies but have a balanced approach to handling the myriad of issues that can present themselves. An RA is not a ‘policeman’ nor are they counsellors, they do however offer peer support and direction to residents when needed and identified.

RAs are supported by an extensive educational program that equips them with the skills required to deliver on their role. Campus Living Villages is currently establishing a mentor program to further assist RAs grow their leadership capabilities and provide a network into their chosen field.
