SECURITY DEPOSIT

Security deposit is a potentially refundable, annual payment, per person. We are not requiring residents to pay a full residential semester’s fees in advance, allowing you to budget for fortnightly payments.

The purpose of the security deposit is to give the Village comfort that all fees will be fully paid and all other obligations of residents properly discharged.

The security deposit may be applied by the Village to meet charges which are incurred throughout the year but not paid by the due date, the cost of any damage caused to the Village property and any fines imposed throughout the year for breaches of the Village Rules.

Security deposits must be replenished if drawn against by the Village during the year.

Security deposits will be refunded at the end of the year if the final inspection following departure is satisfactory, and all apartment and room furniture and fittings are considered to be of satisfactory condition, taking account of general wear and tear.

Residents will be given an opportunity to inspect their rooms before moving in and to record any defects and request maintenance if required.
