If you will be departing the Village this year in 2008 and do not intend to reapply for 2009, you need to notify Macquarie University Village Administration. You can notify Macquarie University Village Adminstration by filling out the following online departure notice form.

Residents intending to stay at the Village past the end of the academic year may be required to move to a different room or apartment.

You will be notified well in advance if we require you to move rooms/apartments.

*Please note if you choose to put your room in the letting pool your date of departure cannot be changed.

(Important Information about the Summer Letting Pool)

Macquarie University Village residents have the option to place their room in the summer letting pool.The letting pool is giving your room “physically” back to Macquarie University management to allow them to let it out to casual visitors and conference guests over the summer period. (This is to generate revenue to assist you in paying rent).

Letting pool 1 operates from 15th December – 31st December.
You do not get the revenue directly from the individual casual visitor/conference guest.

All revenue is “pooled” and divided amongst all residents, according to how many days your room is available. You still pay full Residential fee/Ucard when your room is in the letting pool.

Letting pool 1 – December pool rebate is calculated and distributed by 14th January 2008.

The date you give your room back to Macquarie University Village for the letting pool is not the date your room is placed into the pool. Your room is placed into the pool 5 days after the date you give it “physically empty” to Macquarie University admin. The reason it is placed in the pool 5 days after is to allow for:

• cleaning

• maintenance

• setup for casual visitors/guests

Your room must be completely empty of all your personal belongings and left clean.
